Rhodia Acetow has a wide range of training opportunities to offer. The training programme includes technical and commercial training courses. Since October 2000 Rhodia has also been training bachelor students in cooperation with the cooperative universities.

Workshop for trainees

We place a strong emphasis on not only conveying theoretical knowledge, but also allowing all experiences to be put into practice.
Our own, very well equipped workshop for trainees in Freiburg, which is managed by full-time instructors, has been around for 75 years. In combination with very different process technologies, we offer a very practice-oriented training environment at Rhodia Industriepark.

As recognised testing company of the IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce), we go one step further. As one of the major employers in the region, we see it as part of our social responsibility to cooperate with the companies which are unable or find it difficult to convey individual training contents. This allows these companies to offer training positions. We use and see our workshop for trainees also as a training centre for corporate training in which the training is supplemented by technical courses and tailor-made test preparations.

The Rhodia Acetow training centre stands for highly qualified training from and for the region.
We currently have about 40 trainees in Freiburg. In this way, we make sure that we can rely on highly qualified employees, who lay the foundation for Rhodia's success, also in the future. At the same time we would like to contribute to giving as many young people as possible the opportunity to start a successful professional career with sound professional training.

Commercial training and bachelor courses of studies

Purchasing, sales, human resources management, finance & controlling: our commercial trainees run through a multitude of management areas and are integrated in day-to-day business right from the start. Bachelor of arts students take on additional small projects and, in this way, supplement their theoretical expertise acquired at the cooperative university.
Bachelor of engineering students are involved in the fields of data processing, engineering as well as research and development and assume here responsible tasks, depending on their specialist fields. Basic skills for this purpose are acquired in the first semester or in the form of a preliminary internship at our workshop for trainees. Our students accomplish the theoretical semesters at the cooperative universities in Lörrach and Mannheim.
